Another morning on our daily beach walk on Vieques...I am so lucky to be able to walk out the door and take the dogs on the beach every morning. I see so many dogs in such sad situations and I wonder if my dogs are aware of what a wonderful life they have. I hope to never have them have to leave Vieques again. To think of how many years I would fly my dogs between Vieques and Chincoteague Island, is actually now a nightmare to me. Then is was just life..

I knew it was time to go to the beach , when Lula Belle went running and jumped in the fountain today. It was a hot day! She loves the water...Off to the beach...
Lula Belle first day at the beach, everyone loved her! And they welcomed her, and still love her. She is growing fast and Thumper is her best friend. She will join the other bull dogs on the malecon on Sunday for the bull dog walk. Her brothers and sisters will be there, along with Charlie and Nanna. All bull dogs on Vieques Island are invited.
Spotty and the beach doggies hit the beach for the morning surf. Thumper was right in ocean after coconuts and anything that floated. The dogs did not seem to mind that Spotty wore his life ring. Max did the usual dug for crabs and waited under the trees for the iguanas to come down.
Surf is a little rough today, but Spotty is a true beach doggy so he had to make a day of it. With a life ring like that ... he had nothing to fear.The other five beach doggies were a real pain, bugging Spotty & Thumper wanted to try and drown him. But that life ring was a savior!!
